It doesn't take a lot of time and doesn't require grasping all the nuances or facts. Yet it enables someone to use their thought processes to think critically about ideas, both their own and those of others. A helpful approach.
That's a great point! I definitely think that critical ignoring is more straightforward to teach & implement than some of the nuances of fact-checking. It's another reason why I often advocate for it.
