I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Misguided: The Podcast, which will be an extension of my work on misinformation and media literacy. Named after my forthcoming book, Misguided, this podcast will dive into the social forces that make us vulnerable to misinformation and explore how we can navigate today’s complex information landscape.
Through the podcast, I’ll be bringing you insights from cutting-edge research, sharing practical tools for media literacy, and interviewing experts who are tackling misinformation in unique and powerful ways. Together, we’ll unpack the stories behind the headlines, understand why misinformation spreads, and empower ourselves to think critically in an ever-changing world. I already have a long list of people to interview from a variety of backgrounds. You can see some ideas of who I’ll be interviewing in my recent Threads post!
Why This Matters Now
Misinformation affects every aspect of our lives—health, politics, relationships, and even our sense of reality. Combating it isn’t just an academic pursuit; it’s essential for creating a more informed and resilient society. This podcast is my way of helping us all better understand the forces at play and how we can push back against the tide of confusion and falsehoods. I plan on interviewing scientists and industry leaders, as well as those fighting misinformation on the ground such as librarians, leaders of health organizations, and news reporters.
A Special Thank-You to Early Supporters
I’m offering a special thank-you to early supporters. If you subscribe to the Annual Plan ($50) for my newsletter/podcast, you’ll receive a free signed copy of my forthcoming book, Misguided. It’s my way of saying thank you for helping to bring this vision to life. Thank you so much to the early supporters who have already signed up for paid subscriptions!
I also have a monthly ($5) option if you want to financially support the podcast, but don’t want to commit to a full year. I will record, edit, and produce the podcast myself so anything you can donate is much appreciated, but it’s also amazing if you could just share my podcast with your friends when it comes out.
What’s Next
The holidays are coming up so it’s not an ideal time to try to schedule interviews & launch a podcast, but I will start recording a few episodes ASAP and will likely release them all in a batch. My goal is to start publishing episodes by January 2025 at the latest. I also should have a pre-order link for my book around the same time as well. My newsletter will update you as soon as my podcast and book are available.
Thank you for reading and your support!

P.S. If there’s a specific topic or question you’d love to see explored on the podcast, send me a message through Threads/Bluesky/Substack/my website!
